Skateboard Ollie Foot Placement
When you ollie your skateboard should be stuck to the bottom of your skate shoes the whole time.

Foot positioning for an ollie is pretty set for your back foot but your front foot has some leeway as for where it can be placed on the board. You want the balancing foot in the front and the kicking foot in the back.
The position of your feet right before you attempt an ollie is very important. Right foot in front left foot on the tail of the board. Then bend your knees and jump up into the air lifting your front foot up first and pushing down on the back of your board with your back foot. When you set up for an ollie just hop on your toes a bit and put your feet wherever they feel like you can get the best leverage over the trucks to smack that tail into the ground.
It s just a feel and balance thing. Placement is preference but when you jump your weight is focused through the ball of your back foot. To ollie start by standing on your skateboard with your front foot in the middle and back foot on the back edge. Place your front foot between the middle and front trucks of your skateboard.
To prepare to ollie place your back foot so that the ball of your foot is on the tail of your skateboard. Try them both and see what feels the most comfortable. If your foot it flat along the tail pic 1 the ball of your foot is not centered. You want to put your back foot on the tail and your front foot anywhere between halfway and on top of the bolts also you should be standing on the balls of both of your feet with your weight mainly towards your big toes.
Your back foot should be right in the center of your tail. Don t worry about any specific rules for putting your feet on the board. Before you start skating you should find out what your stance will be.
